Bankruptcies increased by 17.5% in February 2019

A total of 637 bankruptcies were filed in February 2019, according to Boletín de Puerto Rico. This represents 95 more or an increase of 17.5% compared to February 2018.

 

 

Bankruptcies are 20.2% above the same period of the last fiscal year.

Bankruptcies had increased by 1.2% in 2018, after a fall of 25.6% in 2017 due to the cessation of economic activity after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
